所創設。當年 Elsner 是俄國沙皇侍衛隊指揮官，出身貴族，遇到了 1917 年共產黨革命，只有一路流亡，經西伯利亞到哈爾濱，後來轉往上海。為了營生， Elsner 於上海霞飛路開設了「明星西點麵包廠」，後來整個明星再跟隨國民政府到台灣，於 1949 年在台北武昌街一段七號復業，並於半年後於麵包店二樓開設「明星咖啡館」。隨著白俄經營團隊逝去與移民他國，明星轉由白俄老闆十分賞識的簡錦錐先生負責繼
